“Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today.
Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime."

Our mission at Heart of Compassion Missionary Ministries is to empower and transform the lives of jobless men and women, widows and families with orphans and vulnerable children in becoming economically and socially self-sufficient citizens. This will be accomplished through skills assessment and training that will ultimately lead to the development of community based businesses. In many cases, micro financing will be used to fund these start-up businesses.

Our goal is to teach people a skill that will produce an income that will ultimately lead them to becoming self-reliant. Our mission is also to help orphans and vulnerable children by providing food and clothing and assisting in paying school registration fees.

Ethiopia Taxi Business

$4,500.00 $30/$60/$90

Helps a member of a church to finance the cost of a Bajaj; a three-wheeled taxi. The cost to purchase a Bajaj is about $4,500. This vehicle will help a person in Ethiopia earn an income in the taxi business. The average income that a driver would earn is about $10.00 a day. Although $10.00 a day may not seem like much to a person living in the United States, in Ethiopia, the increase is significant, especially when the average wage paid is about $2.50 a day. The person earning this income would not only be able to help increase the kingdom of God through their giving in tithes and offerings but would be in a better position to care for their family.
